Ostara Systems are proud to announce the launch of their
new mobile app. Redesigned from the ground up, the new app
includes all of the established functionality of the previous
mobile app, alongside further improvements to make the app
an indispensable part of the FM process.
The Ostara Mobile App works alongside the other
components of the Ostara CAFM System, and can be
distributed to a client’s entire contractor base. This then
provides engineers with up to date job information, and
provides clients with clear and accurate reporting of time
spent on site by those engineers. The app also includes the
ability for client users to create new work orders, to
complete work order authorisations, and carry out audits all
whilst on the go, away from their desk.
This redesign has seen the overall aesthetics of the application
fully updated, and brought in line with other Ostara platforms,
particularly the Client/Contractor Portal. Additionally,
new functions have been implemented, including dashboards
and an enhanced asset management function, that allows
users to view, create and edit assets in the Ostara System and
the new ability to edit asset specific UD (User Defined)
fields, directly from the mobile. The new app can therefore
form an integral part of the creation and maintenance of a full asset database.
Finally, the new app is fully compatible with the Ostara Bluetooth Beacon, a next generation form of sign in technology, that reduces the reliance on paper and administration by sites.
